Krystyna Zachwatowicz
Biography
Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda was born on May 16, 1930, in Warsaw, Poland. She graduated from the History of Art Faculty and Scenography faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, making her debut as a scenographer in 1958 with Marin Držić's Rzymska kurtyzana. A co-founder of the Manggha Centre of Japanese Art and Technology in Kraków with her husband Andrzej Wajda, she is also a member of the Polish Film Academy.
