Attila Borlan is a German actor born in 1968 in Hatzfeld, Banat, Romania. He grew up trilingual, speaking German, Hungarian, and Romanian, before moving to Germany as a Spätaussiedler. Borlan trained at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin, where he studied acting, singing, and dance. His notable roles include SS officer in "Diplomatie" (2014) and his award-winning portrayal of the title character in Woyzeck.
