Theo van Gogh was a Dutch director and actor known for his provocative works. His film Submission: Part 1, a critique of women's treatment in Islam, sparked controversy before his tragic death in 2004. Following the assassination, he completed his final film 06/05, a fictional exploration of Pim Fortuyn's murder, which was released posthumously two years later.
