Biography

Jehanne d'Alcy was a French film actress who achieved success in theatrical productions before transitioning to cinema. She became one of the first performers to leave the stage for film, appearing in notable works such as Le Voyage dans la lune and later partnering with filmmaker Georges Méliès, whom she eventually married in 1925. Their union lasted until Méliès's death in 1938, with d'Alcy passing away at 91 in 1956.
