Carmen Cartellieri was an Austrian actress and producer born Franziska Ottilia Cartellieri on June 28, 1891, in Proßnitz, Austria-Hungary. She began her career with the help of her husband, Mano Ziffer-Teschenbruck, a director, and appeared in various Hungarian silent films from 1918 to 1919. Cartellieri went on to star in Austrian films, including "The Hands of Orlac" (1924) and another directed by Hinter, cementing her legacy as an early film actress.
