Eric McCormack

Biography

Eric James McCormack was born on April 18, 1963, in Toronto and began his acting career performing in high school plays at the Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute High School. He later spent five years with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, honing his craft before moving to Los Angeles in the late 1990s for minor roles. McCormack gained worldwide recognition for playing Will Truman in the NBC sitcom Will & Grace, earning a Primetime Emmy Award in 2001.
