Amr Waked is an Egyptian actor born on April 12, 1973, in Cairo. He began his career on stage with the Temple Theatre Troop and Yaaru Theatre Troop before landing his breakthrough role in Ossama Fawzy's "Gannet El Shayateen". His international debut came in 2003's Syriana, for which he won a special award at the Cairo International Film Festival.
