Jan Mikael Håfström is a Swedish film director and screenwriter born in 1960 in Lund, Sweden. He studied film at the Stockholm University and the School of Visual Arts before working as an assistant director on SVT 1 and screenwriting. Notable highlights include directing the Academy Award-nominated Evil (2003), the horror film adaptation 1408 (2007), and Escape Plan (2013).
