Daria Halprin

Biography

Daria Halprin was born on December 30, 1948, to a family of artists and activists in the San Francisco Bay Area. She began acting in film in the mid-1960s and gained international recognition for her role in Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point (1970), a statement on American violence and social unrest. After her acting career, Halprin became a leading figure in the development of somatic-expressive arts therapy, teaching and authoring books on the subject.
