Radcliffe Bailey

Biography

Radcliffe Bailey was a contemporary American artist born on November 25, 1968, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. His artistic exploration of African-American history drew inspiration from his family's heritage, including his grandfather's construction of a church near Charlotteville, South Carolina, and the Atlanta civil rights movement. Bailey's work has been featured in notable exhibitions, including "Black Art: In the Absence of Light" (2021).
