Kevin Murphy was born on November 3, 1956 in River Forest, Illinois, USA. He co-founded Best Brains, Inc., a production company behind the Peabody-winning comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000, where he served as writer and associate producer for eight years. As the long-running voice of robot Tom Servo, Murphy became synonymous with the cult TV classic.
