Biography

Charles B. Fitzsimons was a versatile Irish American performer who began his career as an actor at Dublin's Abbey Theatre before emigrating to the US in 1951. He later transitioned into film production and became known for his role as Dan Shanley in the 1955 movie "Captain Lightfoot". A younger brother of actress Maureen O'Hara, Fitzsimons also studied law at Ireland's National University and King's Inns before completing his degree at age 21.
