Masumi Okada

Biography

Masumi Okada was a French-born Japanese actor and film producer born on September 22, 1935, to an artist father and a Danish mother who was the sister of Eline Eriksen, model for the "Mermaid of Copenhagen". He spent his early childhood in Nice before moving to Japanese Taiwan with his family during World War II. Okada went on to have a distinguished career in film, television, and comedy, earning him the nickname "Fanfan".
