Biography

Madeleine Robinson was a French actress born to a French mother and Czech father near Paris in 1917. She found success after studying under Charles Dullin and landing her first lead role in Forty Little Mothers (1936). Her notable post-war career included prominent roles during the Occupation, such as Love Story and Summer Light, before winning the Volpi Cup for Best Actress in 1959 for À double tour.
