Solomon Hughes

Biography

Solomon Young Hughes is an American educator, athlete, and actor, best known for his leading role as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the HBO sports drama series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. At 6 feet 11 inches tall, Hughes played collegiate basketball for the University of California, Berkeley, before being reinstated to play for the California Golden Bears. He previously played for the Harlem Globetrotters and Bishop Montgomery High School basketball team.
