Nélida Quiroga

Biography

Nélida Quiroga was a Argentine actress who began her career at a young age, joining her parents' theatrical company and touring the Americas and Europe. She formed her own company in the 1930s and continued her career in Latin America before settling in Spain in 1961 to establish herself in film and television. Her politics and personal friendships, including Eva Duarte, led to a ban on her work during Argentina's Revolución Libertadora, forcing her to change her name and retire from the arts.
