Mark Takano

Biography

Mark Takano is an American politician born on December 10, 1960, in Riverside, California. He graduated as class valedictorian from La Sierra High School and attended Harvard University, before earning an MFA from the University of California, Riverside. Takano served in the US House of Representatives from 2013, representing western Riverside County, California, and became the first gay person of Asian descent in Congress.
