After the war, he became a successful songwriter, penning hits like "Young and Foolish" and "Look Who's Laughing". He also made his mark on Broadway, penning scores for musicals like "Plain and Fancy" and "Redhead". His talent extended beyond songwriting to acting, with notable roles in films like "Fame".
