Debbie Allen is a renowned American actress and director, best known for her iconic role as Lydia Grant in the musical-drama television series Fame (1982–1987). She has won numerous awards, including six Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a dedicated arts advocate, Allen was named a member of the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities and received an Academy Honorary Award in 2026.
