Sophie Thompson is a British actress born on January 20, 1962, to actress Phyllida Law and actor Eric Thompson. She won the 1999 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in the London revival of Into the Woods. Her notable film appearances include Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Gosford Park (2001), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010).
