Biography

Jackie Moran was a teenaged movie actor in Hollywood, discovered by Mary Pickford and debuting in 1935 with a screen test. He gained recognition for his natural acting style in David O. Selznick's "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" (1938) as Huckleberry Finn, followed by roles in youth-oriented films like "Mad About Music" (1938). Moran starred alongside co-star Marcia Mae Jones in numerous low-budget and poverty-row studios' productions during his 10-year career.
