Chol Soo Lee

Biography

Chol Soo Lee was a Korean American immigrant wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison, later acquitted after serving ten years. His case sparked a national pan-Asian movement through investigative reporting and advocacy by the Free Chol Soo Lee Defense Committee. Lee's freedom was secured in 1983 with the help of the committee and lawyer Tony Serra. He passed away in 2014.
