Christopher Robert Browning is a renowned American historian and professor emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in the Holocaust. He has written extensively on the subject, including the bestselling Ordinary Men (1992), and has acted as an expert witness in several high-profile trials. Browning's work has been recognized with his election as a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2006.
