Paul Bryar was a prolific American actor who appeared in nearly 220 films between 1938 and 1983. He played substantial supporting roles in B-movies of the 1940s and 1950s, including notable appearances in Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious, The Wrong Man, and Vertigo. Bryar also had recurring roles as a policeman and bartender in various films, cementing his typecast in these roles throughout his long career.
