Sylvia Kristel was a Dutch model and actress born in Utrecht on September 28, 1952. She originated the iconic role of Emmanuelle in the 1974 film Emmanuelle, which catapulted her to fame. Kristel went on to star in five of the seven Emmanuelle films and appeared in over 50 movies, including "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and "Private Lessons".
