Biography

Friedrich Joloff was a German film and television actor who appeared in notable roles such as Gen. Nikolai Chapayev in "Man on a String" (1960) and the 1957 film Different from You and Me, directed by Veit Harlan. He worked extensively in post-war Germany, also providing voice acting for dubbed films. A half-Jewish immigrant to Italy who was taken prisoner by British forces during WWII, Joloff returned to Germany after the war.
