Jacques-André Boiffard
Biography
Jacques-André Boiffard, also known as J.A. Boiffard, was a key figure in the Surrealist art scene, training as a photographer under Man Ray in the 1920s. He worked on Ray's experimental short films, honing his skills as a photographer. After the Breton movement, Boiffard struggled to find success, but later merged his photographic expertise with his medical training to become a radiologist from 1940 to 1959.
