Derek N. Twist

Biography

Derek Norman Twist was a British screenwriter, film editor, and director born in London's Paddington area on May 26, 1905. He worked at British Gaumont in the 1930s and was married to actress Vida Hope until her death in a road accident in December 1963. Twist edited numerous films during his career, including The 39 Steps and The Lion Has Wings, as well as wrote several notable scripts.
