Heinz Badewitz
Biography
Heinz Badewitz was a German filmmaker and festival leader born on May 26, 1941, in Hof. He gained early experience as a camera assistant and trick film cameraman before transitioning to directing and working on notable films by Wim Wenders, including "Im Lauf der Zeit" and "Der amerikanische Freund." Badewitz also co-founded the Internationalen Hofer Filmtage in 1967, which showcased new German cinema at the Cannes Film Festival.
