Malika is the protagonist of the documentary "143, Rue Du Désert" (2019), where she shares her story in her desert refuge, a refreshment bar on the Trans-Saharan road. At 74, she opens her door to director Hassen Ferhani, who captures her enigmatic presence and economic gestures, suggesting a mysterious past. Her encounters with truck drivers, soldiers, and travelers reveal a complex personality, nourished by the desert's thousand-and-one stories.
