Biography

Leo Joseph Ryan Jr. was a Democratic politician who represented California's 11th congressional district from 1973 until his assassination in 1978. Prior to his congressional service, he served in the California State Assembly. His legacy extends beyond his public office, as he has been featured in the documentary "Jonestown: The Women Behind the Massacre" (2018).
