Biography

Markus Hering is a freelance German actor and longtime member of the Burgtheater. Born on April 26, 1960, in Siegen, he began his education at the Evangelische Landesschule zur Pforte in Meinerzhagen and later studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover. Hering has performed at notable theaters including the Staatstheater Kassel, Schauspielhaus Wien, and Burgtheater Vienna, with a long tenure at the latter before returning there in 2015.
