Biography

Victor Choulman is a Russian-German theatre director, intendant, and actor, born in Moscow in 1938. He graduated from the Schtschukin-Theaterhochschule with a diploma in direction and acting, and went on to work at various theatres in Russia for over three decades, staging works by Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Shakespeare, and other notable playwrights. Choulman is also a director of the Studententheater at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin since 1996.
