Roland Monod

Biography

Roland Monod was a French actor and arts administrator, known for his roles in Alain Resnais's "La guerre est finie" (1966) as Antoine and Costa-Gavras's "Section spéciale" (1975). He also directed the Théâtre Quotidien de Marseille from 1956 to 1966 and was a key figure in Jean-Vilar's association, which ran the Maison Jean-Vilar. Monod received tributes at his passing in 2015, including an evening of honors at the Théâtre du Nord-Ouest.
