Catherine Lagaʻaia is a Samoan actress born on December 17, 2006, in Sydney, Australia, to actor Jay Lagaʻaia and his wife. She made her screen debut in 2023's The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart as Young Candy and later starred as Young Candy in the same year. Lagaʻaia graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art with a Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance in 2025, before being cast as Moana in Disney's 2026 live-action remake.
