Darrick Doerner

Biography

Darrick Doerner is a pioneer in big wave surfing and tow-in surfing. He's known for creating the sport of tow surfing and has been an 'all-around waterman,' participating in various ocean sports from surf to windsurfing. As a lifeguard on Oahu's North Shore, he developed skills that aided him in navigating large waves safely. His work with Eddie Aikau and others helped shape the sport of big wave surfing.
