Michael Kind is a German actor born on July 23, 1953, in Halle (Saale). He studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and began his theater career in 1982. Kind gained prominence in the wiedervereinigten Deutschland for his roles as Oberkommissar Joachim Raabe in Polizeiruf 110 (1991-1994) and Kommissariatsleiter Hermann Gruber in the ZDF series Küstenwache (1997-2016).
