Biography
Katie Johnson was a British actress who made her stage debut in 1894 and transitioned to screen in the 1930s. Her breakthrough came in 1955 with the Ealing Studios comedy The Ladykillers, earning her a British Film Academy award for best British actress. In her later career, Johnson appeared in notable roles such as the BBC science fiction serial The Quatermass Experiment and the 1946 spy film I See a Dark Stranger.
