She rose to national recognition as a 14-year-old singer after placing third in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with her song "Dancing in Moonlight." Four years later, she won the Bodil Award for Best Actress in her debut film Springflod, marking the beginning of a successful acting career that has earned her five Bodil Awards and six Robert Awards.
