Biography

Aldo Ray was a US Navy frogman during WWII and saw action on Iwo Jima before transitioning to acting, where he became known for his rugged voice and physique. He achieved stardom with roles in The Marrying Kind and Pat and Mike, earning a Golden Globe nomination. His career spanned from 1950s Hollywood glamour to low-budget B-movies in the late 1980s. Aldo Ray died of throat cancer in 1991.
