Biography

Tam Elizabeth O'Shaughnessy is a renowned American children's science writer, associate professor emeritus, and former professional tennis player. She co-founded the science education company Sally Ride Science, relaunched as a nonprofit entity, and serves as executive director. A junior tennis player, she was coached by Billie Jean King and later competed on the women's professional tennis circuit from 1971 to 1974.
