Biography

Hansa Czypionka is a German actor born on March 1, 1958, in Sandhorst. He began his career as a stonemason and sculptor before studying acting at the Folkwang Universität der Künste – Essen/Bochum from 1980 to 1984. Notable roles include Tom in Caroline Link's "Beyond Silence" (1996) for which he received a Bayerischer Filmpreis, and his breakout role as Türke in Dorris Dörrie's film "Happy Birthday" (1991).
