Biography

Richard Stockton Rush III was a co-founder and CEO of OceanGate, a deep-sea exploration company. He held various roles before founding OceanGate, including a flight test engineer at McDonnell Douglas and board member for BlueView Technologies and the Museum of Flight. In 2009, he created OceanGate with Guillermo Söhnlein, and the company's submersible Titan imploded in 2023 during a Titanic visit, resulting in Rush's death.
