Bruno Mattei

Biography

Bruno Mattei was born in Rome, Italy on July 30, 1931, and grew up surrounded by films through his father's film editing studio. He studied at the Centro Sperimentale Centrale and began working as a screenwriter and editor, claiming to have worked on over 100 films. His directorial debut came with Armida, il dramma di una sposa in 1970, followed by low-budget Nazi exploitation films and later excursions into nunsploitation, zombie, and mondo genres.
