  • Biography: Marlene, Houston native, began her career in the arts by winning gold at the NAACP ACT-SO competition for Drama in 2015. She earned her BFA degree in Acting and MultiMedia Entertainment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Before graduation she secured professional representation with the Gray Talent Group and her first two professional jobs, a commercial for Blue Cross Blue shield and a cross-country tour with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Since then, she’s appeared in television shows like 61st Street; Somebody, Somewhere; American Greed; and numerous commercials for Project Makeover, Glassdoor, Red Robin, and more. Recently she joined cast of Ghostlight, a Sundance Film Festival-debuted movie and started her short film journey with Take 290.
