Carl de Vogt

Biography

Carl de Vogt was a renowned German film actor who shone in early cinema, starring in four of Fritz Lang's films, including the two-part Spiders series opposite Lil Dagover and Ressel Ora. His career highlight came with the 1932 historical epic The Eleven Schill Officers, where he played Prussian hero Major Schill. A singer by trade, de Vogt released several records, including his greatest hit "Der Fremdenlegionär".
