Biography

Nayib Bukele is a Salvadoran politician and businessman who has served as the president of El Salvador since 2019. He gained popularity with his implementation of the Territorial Control Plan, which reduced the homicide rate by 50% during his first year in office. Bukele has also promoted plans to build Bitcoin City and passed a law making bitcoin legal tender in El Salvador. He has maintained a high job approval rating above 75% throughout his presidency.
