Leo Anthony Gallagher Jr., known as Gallagher, was an American comedian and prop comic born on July 24, 1946. He gained fame for his unique prop-based comedy style, notably smashing watermelons with the "Sledge-O-Matic" mallet, a routine he performed in over 100 shows per year for more than three decades. A graduate of the University of South Florida, Gallagher's career spanned over four decades, showcasing his enduring appeal as a beloved entertainer.
