Biography

Otto Wallburg was a prolific German actor and Kabarett performer born in Berlin on February 21, 1889. During World War I, he served in the German Army and won an Iron Cross, but later transitioned to stage acting before joining the large German film industry in 1926. He was arrested by the Nazis in the Netherlands in 1940 and deported to Auschwitz, where he was killed towards the end of October 1944.
