Namgyal Sherpa

Biography

Namgyal Sherpa was a Nepali mountaineer and senior climbing guide who dedicated his life to protecting the environment. He founded the Extreme Everest Expedition 2010, a groundbreaking all-Nepali cleanup effort that successfully removed 2000kg of waste and two bodies from Mount Everest's slopes. His work continues to inspire environmental conservation efforts. His legacy is remembered through his self-documenting film "Death Zone: Cleaning Mount Everest".
